I can customise a tour for your group to Milford Sound, Mavora Lakes or coastal Southland including multiple walking breaks. Quietlight is based in Te Anau. Contact me now to explore the options.

Discover the magic of Milford. Set your own schedule. Stop and explore. We can go looking for birds, immerse ourselves in nature, chase the light, linger a little longer. Multiple walking stops are possible. We could be at Milford Sound or on Key Summit for the sunset. Relax and enjoy the best road trip in the world. Cruise with Mitre Peak, 7 departure times to choose from, I recommend the first (8:55am) or the last (4:30pm) departure of the day but am happy to accommodate your requirements.

The Mavora Lakes are a lesser known local gem and offer truly spectacular forest walking, bird watching and stunning light in the evenings. Some scenes in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy were shot at Mavora. This is my favourite place on the planet. There is always something special in the air.

Circumnavigate the Takitimu mountains, visiting the Rakatu Wetland, Lake Hauroko, walk the South Coast Track, Bluecliffs and Te Waewae Bay, Gemstone Beach, Orepuki, Monkey Island, Garden Bay, Cosy Nook, Riverton and Te Hikoi Museum.

I am focused on helping you enjoy wonderful southern scenery and wildlife in the best light possible. My interest is in embodied seeing and I hope to share with you a deep sense of place and a deeper perspective that can only come from being present.

Maximum group size is 5, minimum 2. Children are welcome and under 12's travel free.

My Hyundai van seats five passengers with space for the longest of legs, maximum group size is five.

Warm clothing, sensible closed shoes, a woolly hat, gloves and a waterproof outer layer are required on all my trips. The weather changes quickly.

I have spring water and some simple snacks such as biscuits and muesli bars on board but I recommend you bring something simple to eat for yourself.

It is important to me that we care for the beautiful places we visit. Please go to leavenotrace.org.nz and read this small booklet.

Please remember to bring any medication you may require on the trip.
